Some dream killers are more insidious because they wander outside your consciousness and attack you while you are still preparing for battle. There are four “dream killers”. They are self-talking, double-thinking, unqualified, and unauthentic.<\/p>

Self-dialogue: “I can’t”, “I don’t have the money to do that”, “I’m too late”, “I’m too old”, “I’m too risky”, “I’m too young”, etc. All that noise that’s going around in our heads — those stupid, nagging, negative thoughts that are not going to work out. Tell yourself, “That’s not true.” Some of them may happen at some point in the future, but for now it’s just a little wild thinking. If you allow these thoughts to bother you, this is the time when they are likely to take root and become a bigger annoyance, with disastrous consequences. You can choose to stop negative self-talk and think positive, creative, and energetic thoughts instead. Otherwise, you’ll let distracting self-talk get to you unchecked. There are often distracting thoughts that try to distract and hinder your thinking, destroy your potential for success, and make you give up too quickly. Self-discipline and self-control can suppress these negative self-talk. So don’t be afraid to knock it down! If you don’t, it will defeat you and leave you immobilized. Be firm in your original goal and stick to the direction of your dream. Negative self-talk is a violation of your dreams. Don’t put up with it!<\/p>
